The fresh version of Priorato, which could only be so charming and complex through the hands of the magician Alvaro. The barrel aging is almost semiotic, since it lasts only six months. This is also the Priorato with the lowest percentage of Garnacha, often under 50%, while the rest of the blend is made up of Somso, the local name for Cinsault, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah & Merlot. The others add French varieties to give structure to their wines – Alvaro only adds them to his fresh ones. The quality-price ratio is beyond reality.
